Pergola Repair

Vertical posts supporting the pergola were rotted at the bottoms beneath the deck line. We removed the deck boards as needed to access the post bottoms and remove them. Used a temporary support post to hold pergola while we poured concrete footings for the new posts. Old posts were sitting directly on the dirt (causing the rot). Cut the old posts out with a chainsaw. Cut new posts to lenghth and attached them to the deck support joists at the bottom and to the corbels at the top.

Faux beams

Customer wanted the "feel" of wood inside the house. I came up with the idea of a faux beam that looks like a real beam .The beam is really just a "box" attached to a cleat that I installed to the ceiling. One beam is straight across the hallway. The other is in a corner at 45 degrees to the room.
